Welcome to the 43rd annual Fair Oaks Chicken Run, supporting the San Juan Education Foundation! Choose the challenge of the 5-mile Chicken Run, or the non-competitive 2-mile Rooster Ramble run/walk. Plus, the Fair Oaks Chicken will lead the Chicken Chase Kids Race for children 12 & under - the best kids’ race around!
The Chicken Run
5 Miles
This hard-boiled race takes off through the beautiful residential neighborhood of Old Fair Oaks, before scrambling along the trail in Sailor Bar. Try not to get fried as you take on the infamous hills. Part trail, part paved road - watch your step, and keep your sunny side up!
The Rooster Ramble
2 Miles
Prefer your race to go over-easy? The 2-Mile Rooster Ramble stays on the paved roads through Old Fair Oaks. You’ll love to walk this egg-cellent course; it’s stroller- and family-friendly. Who knows? You may even feel a little runny…

Which comes first, the chicken or the egg? Around here, it’s always been the undefeated Fair Oaks Chicken leading the charge! We host the wildest kids’ wing-ding for your free-range peeps (age 12 and under).
