Beneficiary
The 5-mile Chicken Run route meanders through the beautiful Old Fair Oaks residential neighborhood with a keyhole loop to Sailor Bar. The course is equal parts paved roads and dirt trail. The non-competitive 2-mile Rooster Ramble run/walk stays on paved streets. If participating with a stroller, please opt for the 2-mile Rooster Ramble.
Course
Awards ceremony to follow event at 9:45 a.m. for the 5-Mile Chicken Run. Prizes for overall male and female winners, masters (age 40 & over) male and female winners, and top three finishers in each age division. All kids in the 1/4 and 1/2 mile races receive medals.
Age Groups (5-Mile Run):
12 & Under, 13-15, 16-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+
Hill Challenge Awards (5-Mile Run):
Top male and female open runner (under 40)
Top male and female masters runner (40-over)
The 2-mile Rooster Ramble is timed, but no awards are given.
5 Mile Awards & Age Divisions
Race to the top of the hill! Hernia Hill, the second of our four infamous inclines on the 5-mile course is your challenge. We'll record your chip time from the bottom to the top of the hill and the fastest male and female (open and masters) will win a special award!
